The Airborne Quad ZEBRA integrates operational and intelligence data link reception for the most complete situation awareness picture available. This JTRS compatible COTS system is the first and only production open architecture radio that combines TIBS, TDDS, TADIXS-B, TADIL-A and Secondary Imagery (SIDS) reception, decryption, message processing and networking in a compact, 3/4 ATR, 6U VME chassis. ZEBRA is designed to easily incorporate the CIBS-M hardware and software modules being developed by the JTT program. This ensures IBS program compatibility throughout the service life of the system.
The rugged, industry standard design (ANSI/IEEE 1014) meets NSA, TEMPEST, and EMI/EMC specifications, and the shock, vibration and temperature requirements of most airborne applications. Built-in networking (Ethernet, TCP/IP) allows the system to function equally well with airborne and land-based LAN and WAN applications. When configured for transmit, ZEBRA supports full or half duplex operation across the full military UHF spectrum (255-400 MHz).
ZEBRA is a leading contender for the Airborne Battlefield Intelligence program and will be featured in the Air Force EFX 98 exercise. Since being identified as a "Gold Nugget" by USCENTCOM in 1996, ZEBRA systems have set the standard for performance, integration, and affordability.
